Four Pillars

Pillar One — Education

Education

A student's potential is worth showing up for.

Education is the first pillar of FAMA's neighborhood strategy. We believe every child deserves to be known, supported, and given the chance to grow — academically, spiritually, and practically. Through Grant Park Christian Academy and a network of mentors, tutors, and families, we surround students with the relationships and resources that help them thrive.

From strong Christian academics to trades, robotics, and youth leadership, we treat a student's potential as something worth showing up for every single day. Education is where the Garden Model begins to bear fruit: a stronger child becomes part of a stronger family, which strengthens the whole neighborhood.

Purpose

To give children in the neighborhoods we serve a strong academic and spiritual foundation, surrounded by caring adults who show up consistently — so they can grow into the people they were made to be.

Needs Addressed

What Education Addresses

Academic Foundation

Many neighborhood children lack access to consistent, Christ-centered education that meets them where they are.

Caring Adults

Students need mentors and tutors who show up reliably — not just programs that come and go.

Practical Skills

Young people need exposure to trades, technology, and hands-on learning that opens doors to a future.

Family Support

A child grows strongest when their family grows too — parents and caregivers need to be partners, not bystanders.

How People Participate
