Four Pillars

Pillar Two — Social Services

Social Services

Meeting neighbors where they are.

Social Services is the pillar where FAMA meets neighbors in real need. We don't deliver a single service and leave — we build the relationships that help a family navigate barriers and find a path forward. This pillar includes family resource navigation, senior support, and the Pathways Home – East Tampa outreach approach.

FAMA works alongside partner organizations across a continuum of care. We help coordinate the path; we do not imply that FAMA directly provides every service, nor do we guarantee outcomes. Instead, we connect neighbors with the partners and resources best equipped to help at each step — and we follow up when a referral encounters a barrier.

Purpose

To walk alongside neighbors facing hardship — homelessness, isolation, fixed incomes, or family crisis — and connect them with the services, relationships, and resources that move them toward stability and belonging.

Needs Addressed

What Social Services Addresses

Homelessness

Neighbors experiencing homelessness need outreach, trust, and a coordinated pathway toward stability.

Senior Isolation

Older neighbors living alone need check-ins, practical help, and connection before and after emergencies.

Family Crisis

Families facing hardship need resource navigation, referrals, and someone to help coordinate the next step.

Stability

Many neighbors need identification, healthcare, transportation, and benefits to open the doors to stability.

Impact

What This Work Looks Like

FAMA tracks participation and progress across social services: outreach contacts, referrals, follow-through, and senior support. Recent neighborhood participation includes 30 attendees at the Seniors Celebration on September 16, 2026. These are event participation counts, not unduplicated annual totals. Verified results are reported separately as they are confirmed.
